Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod. Known for its beaches, artistry, tourism, fishing, and gay community.

One of the first American Art Colonies started here. Many artists from all over the world have paintings in Provincetown art galleries. Art galleries can be found at the Gallery District with dozens of them on Commercial Street.

There are miles of beaches

Race Point Beach located on Atlantic side, great beach for viewing the sunrise.

Breakwater located at Provincetown’s West End. There is lots of great swimming, hiking across breakers to tip of Cape Cod at Long Point Lighthouse.

Herring Cove has miles of beaches on the Massachusetts Bay side and is the most popular gay beach in Provincetown with great sunsets.

There are many Town Beaches that run along the village. Town Beaches have great swimming, sailboat rental in the harbor.

Hiking and bike paths along the Provinceland dunes. There are guided dune tours, some of them you can catch the sunrise or sunset. You can Fish from the piers or beaches, rent sailboats or kayaks, Whale watching is a must when in season.

Going to the downtown village is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening while shopping at the village shops and dinning at their fine restaurants.
